Recycled Christmas Again

I was challenged to recycle something. So, I cut one of my coloring book pages and recycled it as a background on a Christmas card. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Banners for Christmas

Paper:
   Powder Pink A-2
   Real Red 4 x 4-3/4
   Coloring Book Page 3-7/8 x 4-5/8
   Basic White 2 x 4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Markers:
   Various Colors - Personal Choice

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies
   Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware
Real Red Woven Satin Ribbon - 6"
   Tear & Tape
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and die cut my sentiment, using the Banners for Christmas stamp set and the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.

I then riffled through my coloring book and found a page with Christmas colors. I cut it down to size.

Next, I adhered it to a Real Red matte.

I then took a buckle from the Antique Brass Hodgepodge Hardware and pulled a strip of Real Red ribbon through it. I centered it on the panel and secured it on the back, using tear & tape.

Next, I attached the panel onto a Powder Pink card front.

Lastly, I attached the sentiment, using dimensionals, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Flowers on the Side

This card shows the main image off to the side, leaving quite a bit of white space on the card. It bothered me at first, but I think I like it. I believe the ribbon helps to give it some balance. Thoughts?

Red Hot Father

The red hues in the background really make this card stand out. Thoughts?

Stamps:
   Country Livin'
   Guy Greetings

Paper:
   Night of Navy A-2
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Re-Inkers:
   Reds
   Yellow

Markers:
   Various - Personal Choice
   (Blue, Brown, Black, Green)

Technique:
   Shaving Cream

Accessories:
   Foamy Shaving Cream
   Stirrer
   1/4" Black Grosgrain Ribbon 6" (2)
   Adhesive

First, I created the background using the Shaving Cream technique found on SCS. I let the panel dry for a bit.

I then stamped the sentiment and the image on the panel, using Archival Basic Black. Tuxedo Black Memento or Jet Black StazOn will also work fine.

Next, I used markers to outline and color in the truck and the grass as shown above. I did this because the background was swallowing up the truck image.

I then added two strips of black ribbon to frame the truck image and to draw attention to the sentiment. I secured the ribbon on the back of the panel.

Lastly, I adhered the panel onto the Night of Navy card front and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
