Yellow Roses

This 3-step stamp set makes it easy to add color and accents. The main focus is to align the image for each step. This is where a Stamp-a-ma-jig plays a vital role. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Simple Sketches

Paper:
   Daffodil Delight A-2, 2 x 4-3/4
   All ABloom DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 4-3/4 x 3-3/4, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Island Indigo 1/2 x 4-3/4

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento
   Daffodil Delight
   Crushed Curry
   Delightful Dijon

Technique:
   3-Step Stamping

Accessories:
   Stamp-a-ma-jig
   Button Bouquet
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the roses across the top of the smaller Basic White panel, using Daffodil Delight.

I then added some accents, using Crushed Curry.

Next, I added the line image, using Delightful Dijon. Note, some stampers like to work from the darkest to the lightest tones. You need to do whatever works for you.

I then adhered the Daffodil Delight panel to the bottom of the Basic White panel, and then adhered the Island Indigo strip to cover the seam.

Next, I stamped the sentiment, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and stamped a butterfly to the left of it with a bit of Crushed Curry.

I then assembled the card. I adhered the DSP panel onto the Daffodil Delight card front, and then added the stamped panel to the center of the card front.

Lastly, I added three buttons, using glue dots, and adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

Amaryllis

I thought about brushing on some color to tone down the white background. Then I thought less is more. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Artful Amaryllis

Paper:
   Gumball Green A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

   Petunia Pop
   Gumball Green

Technique:
   2-Step Stamping
   CAS

   Black Rhinestone Jewels
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the line image of the amaryllis and the sentiment, using Gorgeous Grape.

I then added some color to the amaryllis, Petunia Pop, using the filler stamp. It is quite easy to line them up, since they are photopolymer stamps.

Next, I grabbed the Gumball Green and filled in the leaves.

I then added a strip of designer acetate, using a few mini glue dots.

Next, I adhered the panel onto a Basic Black matte and then adhered it to a Gumball Green card front.

Sailing

Kits seem to be all the rage today. Is it easy, convenient, and affordable? Possibly, but I'm still leaning toward putting my own spin on everything. What do you think?

Sailing

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Lost Lagoon A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Going Places DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   None

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Something for Everything Ephemera Pack
   Saying Something Ephemera Pack
   Labels & Layers Ephemera Pack
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I chose the pieces I wanted to use for my card from the various Ephemera Packs. I decided that the sailboat went nicely with "smooth sailing & sunny skies." I also needed to make a masculine birthday card. So, I chose a Happy Birthday.

I then found this sheet of designer paper where the lines reminded me of the water movement in an ocean. So, I arranged the pieces on the panel and attached them, using dimensionals and adhesive.

Next, I adhered the panel to a Basic Black matte and then added it to a Lost Lagoon card front.

Lastly, I adhered a Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I made the same card, using a card base from the Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes.

Sailing Too

What do you think? I like my added layers. I'm going to create a few more before I decide, but I guess my creativity bug keeps screaming for uniqueness.
