Birthdays that land close to a holiday tend to get overlooked sometimes. Here is a birthday card for those who are born during the fall. They sometimes are forgotten during Thanksgiving, Halloween, Labor Day or one of the religious celebrations. Are you a forgotten one?
Stamps:
Basket of Wishes
Paper:
Soft Suede A-2
Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), 3 x 4
Color Me Autumn DSP 1" Sq. (6)
Ink:
Archival Basic Black
Crushed Curry
Markers:
Various - Personal Choice
Technique:
Sponging
Accessories:
1" Square Punch
Regal Candy Dots
Sponge
Adhesive
First, I stamped, colored, and sponged my image panel. I stamped using Archival Basic Black. I then colored the image with markers. I used the colors found on the DSP, but the black ink bled a bit making the image a bit dark. Lastly, I sponged the white with Crushed Curry to brighten it up some.
I then adhered the image to the center of the Soft Suede card front.
Next, I added the one-inch squares around the image. The center squares were flipped to give the card a bit of contrast.
I then added a few candy dots under the sentiment. You can easily exchange the dots for gems, pearls, or rhinestones.
Lastly, I adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
