The Grove

Distress inks react with water. So, every background that you create will be a bit different. Dab your colors onto a mat. Mist with water, and pick up the color with your glossy paper. Add one color at a time or dab several. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Grassy Grove
   Best Year

Paper:
   Bermuda Bay A-2
   Basic Black 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Glossy White 5-1/4 x 4
   Basic White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Cinnamon Cider
   Evening Evergreen
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Distress Inks:
   Mustard Seed
   Peacock Feathers
   Picked Raspberry
   Spiced Marmalade

Technique:
   Watercolor

Accessories:
   Water Mister
   Paper Towel
   Brushed Metallic Dots
   Adhesive

First, I dabbed my distress ink on my mat.

I then misted the color with water.

Next, I picked up the color with my glossy paper.

I repeated these three steps for each of the colors. This is why some of the colors seem to be on top of each other.

Once the panel was dry, I stamped my images and my sentiment.

I then adhered the glossy panel to a Basic Black matte and then onto the Bermuda Bay card front.

Lastly, I added three Brushed Metallic Dots and adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.
