Masculine cards can be difficult to create. I always want to add a bit of bling. I need to learn to keep it simple. Thoughts?

Jute Twine 24"

First, I colored directly onto my clear block using markers. Balmy Blue on the top, Granny Apple Green in the center, and Crumb Cake on the bottom.
I then misted the block with a bit of water, and then stamped my watercolor panel in the center. I left the block for a bit to make sure the color was being soaked in by the paper.
After it was dry, I stamped my trees and sentiment, using Evening Evergreen.
I then adhered the panel onto an Evening Evergreen matte and then onto the Crumb Cake card front.
Next, I wrapped some Jute Twine around the left side and tied it into a bow. You can also just tie a knot for a bit more masculine feel.
Lastly, I adhered the Basic White panel to the inside of the card.

I think you knocked this masculine card out of the ball park. Resist the urge to bling it up! Great card!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fonda. I will do my best. I love bling on the cards. I am so happy to see that you are sticking with me and continuing to comment. My blogging has been sporadic as of late. I appreciate your kind sentiments. Thank you, Friend.
DeleteTerrific tree line image for a masculine card. I do add a bit of bling sometimes to masculine cards it all just depends on who I am giving the card.
ReplyDeleteI sell my cards, so I try to tone it down on the masculine cards, unless they request it. I am still a hobbyist, but I have to move my inventory or they might confuse me with being a hoarder. Thanks for dropping by here. Much Appreciated!
