Batty Halloween

Boo! It is time to make a few Halloween cards. I used to make more of a fuss when my children were young, but now it is their turn to make a fuss with their children. Do you do anything special on Halloween? Care to share?

Stamps:
   Cookie-Cutter Halloween
   Timeless Textures
   All Holidays

Paper:
   Pumpkin Pie A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2), Scraps

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Cajun Craze
   Daffodil Delight
   Night of Navy
   Pumpkin Pie
   Tip Top Taupe

Markers:
   Personal Choice to Color Images

Technique:
   Sponging
   Punching

Accessories:
   Cookie-Cutter Punch
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I sponged my background panel. I began at the top with Night of Navy. I then added Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, and Tip Top Taupe.

I then stamped a grid from the Timeless Textures stamp set. I stamped it across the panel using Archival Basic Black. I tried to make it look like a fence.

Next, I stamped, colored, and punched out my scarecrow and mummy. I used various markers to color them. I attached them using dimensionals.

I then stamped some bats on the top and added a sentiment.

Lastly, I adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. I just started making Halloween cards last night. I've collected paper for the longest time, but I've never made cards with the intention of sending out. This time, I will follow through and send them to a couple of households. So far, I've made 26 Christmas cards for my father-in-law and about 30 birthday cards. They are all simply made, but it's a start for not being in the craft room for several months! I'm getting there.
