Penned Dragonflies

Having double-sided designer series paper (DSP) makes card making easy. Both sides coordinate, so all you have to do is turn the paper over and create another look that coordinates. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Nature's Harvest

Paper:
   Cinnamon Cider A-2
 Hand-Penned DSP 5-1/4 x 4, 1-1/2 x 4 (2), 1 x 4
   Whisper White 1 x 2-1/4, 5-1/4 x 4
   Crushed Curry Scraps

Ink:
   Cinnamon Cider

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Sponging
   Punching

Accessories:
   Harvest Dies
   Dragonflies Punch
   Diamond Weave Ribbon (3")
   Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots
   Sponge
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, die-cut, and sponged my sentiment.

I then cut my DSP panel and strips. I placed the two wider strips on the outer edges and the thinner strip in the middle of the DSP panel. When I was happy with the placement, I adhered them using liquid glue.

Next, I adhered this panel to the Cinnamon Cider card front.

I added a strip of ribbon with glue dots and attached the sentiment using dimensionals on top of the ribbon.

I then took a scrap of Crushed Curry and punched out a couple of dragonflies. I adhered them using glue dots. I then added some Brushed Metallic Dots to the dragonflies and the ribbon.

Lastly, I adhered the other Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

  1. Beautiful designer paper and a wonderful layout on your card too. I love the addition of the bit of lace too. It is a nice finishing touch.
