Bumblebee

You do not always need to use the coordinating die set to create a beautiful card. I kept this card clean and simple (CAS). I simply used three stamps from the stamp set, added a bumblebee trinket and a few pearls. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Blossoms in Bloom

Paper:
   Rococo Rose A-2
   Just Jade 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Rococo Rose
   Just Jade
   Bumblebee

Technique:
   Stamp-Off
   CAS

Accessories:
   Bumblebee Trinkets
   Basic Pearl Jewels
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the flowers in the center of a Whisper White panel. The stamp is DistINKtive. So, the opacity of each petal is just right. You can see that some petals stamp a bit lighter in areas than others, yet the stamp was completely inked!

Next, I added the yellow dots in the center of the flowers. I used Bumblebee for these.

I then added leaves using Just Jade. I inked my leaf and then stamped-off on a scratch pad. I then stamped the leaf on the card without inking it. I repeated this several times.

Using the Just Jade ink pad, I stamped my sentiment on the top left corner. I added a gold bumblebee trinket using a glue dot.

Lastly, I adhered the layers together. Whisper White stamped panel onto the Just Jade panel and then onto the Rococo Rose card front. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card. Have another look-see.

Nutcracker Christmas

I used three Merry Minis stamps and created my own background for my Merry Christmas banner. I think it works. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Merry Minis
   Banners for Christmas

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 2-1/2 x 4, 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Markers:
   Real Red
   Pool Party
   Pumpkin Pie

Technique:
   Die Cutting

Accessories:
   Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the man, the snowman, and the snowflake randomly throughout the card front.

Next, I grabbed my markers and colored in the men's jackets, the snowflakes, and the snowmen.

I then stamped and die cut the Merry Christmas banner, and attached it using dimensionals.

Lastly, the Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card. This is really not necessary, since the card base is white, but I like that extra thickness and finished look.

Picnic Apples

When was the last time you went on a picnic? There was a time when the outdoors was the place of preference. Of course, this was before air conditioning, and houses were built with windows that provided cross breezes. Here is a card with a bit of a picnic theme. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Teeny Tiny Wishes
   Studio Sketches

Paper:
   Green Galore A-2, Scraps
   Kaleidoscope DSP 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside), Scraps

Ink:
   Tuxedo Black Memento

Blendabilities/Markers:
   Cherry Cobbler
   Old Olive

Technique:
   Punching

Accessories:
   1-1/2" Circle Punch
   1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch
   White Tea Lace Doilies
   Gingham Ribbon
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped, colored, and punched out my image.

I then adhered it to a Green Galore scalloped circle.

I adhered the DSP panel to the card front.

I adhered a half doily to the bottom half. I stamped the sentiment on the solid part of the doily.

I added some gingham ribbon to cover the edge of the doily. I did tag the ends of the ribbon before adhering it.

I then added the bowl of apples using dimensionals.

Lastly, I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Fallen Snowman

This snowman has lost his head. It seems that our fear of falling grows simultaneously with our physical age. I remember an advertisement that was made for a medical alert monitor. An elderly person falls, pushes a button and yells, "I've fallen, and I can't get up!" My I used to roll my eyes and laugh, laugh, laugh. Now, I wonder if I should invest in this monitoring device. What is your fear?

Stamps:
   Cold Play

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, Scraps, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black
   Soft Sky

Markers:
   Pumpkin Pie
   Real Red
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Sponging

Accessories:
   Word Bubbles Framelits Dies
   All Is Calm Washi Tape
   Button Brights Collection
   Sponge
   Glue Dots
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I stamped my snowman in pieces. The large circle on the bottom, followed by the middle circle, slightly off-balance. I stamped the arms, also off-balance. The facial circle was stamped, colored, and cut from a scrap of Whisper White. I adhered it with dimensionals when I was putting the card together.

Next, I wrote out my sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White and die cut it, using the Word Bubbles Framelits Dies. I sponged it with Soft Sky ink and attached it using dimensionals after all of my snowman pieces were in place.

I added a couple of colorful buttons using glue dots. One of the buttons I placed on the bottom, since the snowman has fallen.

Once the snowman pieces were in place, I stamped and colored in the hat of the snowman. Of course, the hat is upside down.

Lastly, I stamped snowflakes using Soft Sky as the background. I added some washi tape as a backing for the word bubble. I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

Frosty Christmas Snowman

Use a snowman to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. This snowman is sitting on a glittery mount of snow. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Frosty
   Timeless Tidings

Paper:
   Whisper White A-2, 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)
   Vellum 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 (tear edge)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Markers:
   Pacific Point
   Highland Heather
   Shaded Spruce
   Pumpkin Pie
   Real Red
   Basic Black
   Merry Merlot

Technique:
   Tearing
   Glitter

Accessories:
   Glitter
   2-Way Glue
   Adhesive

First, I stamped and colored my snowman. I used markers to color the snowman. You can choose any of your favorite colors for him.

Next, I stamped the sentiment on the top part of the card.

I then measured and cut my vellum. I tore the top edge to make it look a bit more rugged.

I applied 2-way glue and adhered the chunky glitter.

Lastly, I added the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card. This panel is not necessary, since the card is white already. Still, I like to give the card that finished look.

Deer in the Meadow

There are those who like to be alone and those who DO NOT. I think more people enjoy the company of others. I believe that even when there is an individual task to be done, most people would prefer to perform it in the company of others. Just like the adage states, "Two heads are better than one." Here is a card to send to those who work with you, or to those you spend time with you throughout the year. What do you think?

Stamps:
   In the Meadow

Paper:
   Pear Pizzazz A-2
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (2)

Ink:
   Smoky Slate
   Baked Brown Sugar
   Pear Pizzazz
   Soft Sky
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Sponging
   Masking
   Punching

Accessories:
   Blender Pen
   Large Oval Punch
   Modern Label Punch
   Sponge
   Dimensionals
   Adhesive

First, I sponged the top part of my Whisper White panel with Soft Sky.

I then stamped and fussy cut my deer image on a scrap piece of paper. I placed a bit of temporary adhesive on the back and set it aside. This is my mask.

I then stamped my deer image on the Whisper White panel.

I placed my mask over it and kept it in place during all of the stamping.

Next, I stamped my mountains in the background. Just one row.

I then stamped the trees. I inked them with Pear Pizzazz. Then wiped the ink off the trunk and branches using the blender pen. I then colored these in with Archival Basic Black. I breathed on the stamp to re-activate the ink and then stamped them on my panel.

I used Pear Pizzazz to stamp the grass all over the bottom of the card.

I colored in the mountains with Smoky Slate and the deer with Baked Brown Sugar. I did remove the mask before coloring. You can use watercolor pencils, chalk, or markers to color in the images.

I stamped, punched, and sponged my sentiment. I adhered it to the Modern Label and then attached it using dimensionals.

Lastly, I added a couple of black dots to the Modern Label and adhered the panel to the card base. The other Whisper White panel was adhered to the inside of the card.

Garden Love

This heart die cut decorates the entire card front. I added a few punched hearts and a sentiment. Rhinestones would certainly add a sparkle if you like. What do you think?

Stamps:
   Bloomin' Love

Paper:
   Garden Green A-2
   Love Blossoms DSP 3-3/4" Sq.
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Archival Basic Black

Technique:
   Die Cutting
   Punching

Accessories:
   Bloomin' Heart Thinlits
   Itty Bitty Accents (Heart Punch)
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

You know I hate to throw anything away. So, once I ran my 3-3/4" DSP square through the die cutting machine using the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits, I grabbed the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents and punched out several hearts from the corners. I flipped them to show the other side of the DSP. All of the extra pieces from between the heart die cut I placed in a container to use as confetti when I make a window card. I tell you, there is use for everything!

I die cut my heart and adhered it with adhesive.

I used glue dots to attach my small hearts.

I stamped my sentiment and adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.

There is still room to glam this card. You can add rhinestones, gems, pearls, and/or sequins.

Fish in the Sea

There are many reasons to make cards. Sometimes, I need one for a specific occasion. Other times, I just want to calm down or de-stress, and sometimes, I need to use up supplies left-over from other projects. Then there are the items I bought on sale, knowing that I would use them! So, I made this card to use up those fish stickers that are sitting in my stash. Why did you make your last card? Or better yet, what does your stash look like?

Stamps:
   Adventure Awaits

Paper:
   Crumb Cake A-2
   Adventure Bound DSP 2 x 4-1/4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 (Inside)

Ink:
   Chocolate Chip

Technique:
   CAS

Accessories:
   Chocolate Chip 1/4" Poly-twill Ribbon (16")
   3-D Fish Stickers
   Adhesive

First, I stamped the large stamp on the upper part of the card front.

I then added a strip of Adventure Bound designer series paper (DSP) from my stash.

I then tied a chocolate Chip poly-twill ribbon to hide the seam of the DSP.

I adhered a couple of 3-D fish stickers, and adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the card.
