Whenever I play with a new technique or tool, I create many panels that will be placed in a pile for use as scratch paper. Since I was challenged to rescue a mistake, I took one of the panels and stamped on it. I then wrapped some jute twine around it and adhered it with some fast fuse to my card base. What do you think?

If my memory serves me well, when I made this panel, I was playing with my gel press and trying to create texture on the background. So, I used a large, coarse watercolor brush to spread my colors. I also used a stamp to try a create an impression. I guess it is not too bad when it is combined with a few other elements.

I love it! I really like gel press prints. The jute was so perfect for the color and texture on here. It makes me want to get out my gel plate and play. LOL
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness this is amazing! I love how it came out and all it needed was a simple sentiment and some jute!
