I enjoy eating Candy Canes every Christmas. I remember a time when the only flavor you could get was peppermint. Today, they come in many different flavors. My favorite is Cherry. I like hanging them on the tree so that they are always within reach of my sweet tooth. Tell me about your favorite Christmas treat.

Technique:

Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies
Frosted Sequins

I stamped and die cut two candy canes and then reversed one to form a heart on my card front. I used glue dots to hold the candy canes together.
I then stamped and die cut the Merry Christmas banner. I attached it using dimensionals.
I added snowflakes and sequins with adhesive.
The x's in the four corners were added with a white gel pen to fulfill an alphabet challenge. These can easily be omitted.
Lastly, I adhered the Chocolate Chip panel to the Rose Red card base.

Sally, this looks great - love the heart created with the candy canes. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jeanette. Funny how many of my card designs are created by accident.:) I was excited when I accidentally came up with this one. LOL!
DeleteMy favorite Christmas treat is chocolate covered cherries or lifesavers in the book. Super cute Candy cane card. Great colors.
ReplyDeleteOh, Lisa, I love these too. I usually leave the cherry, but I love the cordial cream. And I used to buy the lifesaver books for the kids stockings and several for mine!
DeleteYou card is so "sweet"! My favorite candy cane flavor is wintergreen or spearmint. Peppermint, not so much.
ReplyDeleteWintergreen sounds like one I should try. Who knows, I might get brave. I am such a creature of habit. Just call me, Plain Jane.
DeleteWhat an adorable card. I too remember the days of one flavor fits all candy canes. I have to say my favorite holiday treat is probably egg nog. I have started making egg nog cookies so I can freeze them and make the festivities stretch on a bit longer!
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of egg nog cookies. I am not a fan of egg nog, but are the cookies exactly like the drink?
