Thank You Pumpkin

I do not like to throw away anything until it is absolutely necessary. So, I took my left-over pieces from my February, 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit and used a few pieces to make this card. The thank you letters were supposed to be thrown away, but I decided to keep them. They sure came in handy for this card. The flowers were extras from the kit. I added these to a panel of discontinued designer series paper. I think it all works. What are your thoughts?

The designer series paper is double sided. So, I took the 5-1/4 x 4 panel and cut a 3/4 strip off the left side of the panel. I flipped it over and adhered it to the card base.

I do like to keep all of the pieces from the Paper Pumpkin kits to use on cards. I sort them out by what they are. I labeled Paper Pumpkin boxes and sort out the pieces. This way, I grab the box of items I want and pick whatever works: tags, ribbon/twine, sequins/glitter, stickers, glue dots, dimensionals, ink spots, etc.

I keep the instructions, so if I need to see where the item came from, I can look through those.

  1. I think all the pieces look great together. I don't like to toss stuff out either. That is how I got the totes and started my mission last year to use up the items in the totes. I am down to a half of a tote and need to get it used up quickly. Next year I will start filling the tote back up again but will not make it my goal to use it up as my goal for next year is to use up images that I have printed or stamped and need to get colored and off my table. Nicely done on your card to not toss out great pieces and find a way to use them.

  2. I have found that saving bits and pieces are difficult to find room for, so I tend to toss. Besides, I have scads of stuff, and I want to move on to use them. But, every once in awhile, I have something still on my desk that I eventually find a use for.
