Natural Thanks

I have a problem with wooden elements. I like how they look and feel on a card, but I don't always know when I should use them. They are also quite bulky when it comes to mailing a card. I have also found that some of them are very fragile. What are your thoughts or concerns?

Stamps:
   None

Paper:
   Soft Sea Foam A-2
   Balmy Blue 5-3/8 x 4-1/8
   Watercolor Paper 5-1/4 x 4
   Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Balmy Blue
   Coastal Cabana
   Soft Sea Foam
   Basic Black

Technique:
   Stencil
   Watercolor

Accessories:
   Basic Pattern Decorative Masks
   Expressions Natural Elements
   Copper Washi Tape
   Glue Dots
   Adhesive

First, I watercolored my background using three colors: Coastal Cabana, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam. I set the panel aside to dry.

Next, I stenciled the background using my stencil and basic black marker.

I didn't want to cover the panel, so I added a strip of copper washi tape and a wooden "Thanks" to the center.

  1. I agree with your assessment of wood embellishments. They are beautiful when added to a card but hard to mail and bulky. Gorgeous card with your wood Thanks.

  2. Try putting in an extra couple of card stock pieces on top of the wooden element. That might help to get them through the regular mail. I like this card!
