I tend to never throw anything away, including the leftover pieces of designer or patterned paper. The background for this gnome was pieced together from leftovers. It reminds me of wall paper. Just like the time when you tried to piece the pattern together on the wall, but if you looked closely, you could see the seam. I wanted this pattern, but didn't have a large enough piece left, so... What do you think? Did it work?

Adhesive
I printed the gnome image and colored it with watercolor pencils. I then used a blender pen to blend in the color.
I added the sentiment with a bit of hardware. It helps to draw the attention to the sentiment on the busy background. I adhered the sentiment with adhesive and then added the hardware with the brads.
