Birthday Splatter

The joy of card making is knowing that a unique card is being created. If you are using water as a medium, no two cards will ever be alike, even if you do the same thing! Here is a birthday card using water and pigment sprinkles. Who doesn't like to make a splash on their birthday?

Stamps:
   Birthday Wishes

Paper:
   Granny Apple Green A-2
   Watercolor 5-1/4 x 4

Ink:
   Blackberry Bliss

Pigment Sprinkles:
   Melon Mambo
   Daffodil Delight
   Granny Apple Green

Splatter with Real Red

Technique:
   Watercolor
   Splatter/Spritz

Accessories:
   Adhesive

These pigment sprinkles are unpredictable. You sprinkle them onto the watercolor paper and then spritz with water. They just come alive. To change it just add more sprinkles or more water. I did dab at the panel with a paper towel. Lastly, the Melon Mambo sprinkles were added. They did burst when the water was added. I spattered Real Red here and there on the panel. No two panels will ever be the same. You just have to play with it until you get the look you like.

Once the panel completely dried, I stamped the image and sentiment using Blackberry Bliss.

The panel was adhered to the Granny Apple Green card base.

  2. Thank you, Lisa. I do tend to get really messy with the water. I have to keep a roll of paper towels near-by.
