Your Birthday

One way to avoid a black outline of your image is to color directly on the stamp with your markers. You then breathe onto the stamp. This will moisten the ink and prepare it to stamp. You then stamp, and your outline will be in color. An example of this is shown below.

Stamps: Life's Adventure, Well Scripted
Paper: Whisper White A-2, 2 x 4, Tempting Turquoise 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, Basic Black 3 x 4 1/8, Scraps of Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Markers: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise
Technique: Dry Embossing
Accessories: Fancy Fan Embossing Folder, Chalk Talk Framelits Dies, Scallop Edge Punch, Dimensionals, Adhesive

I found that it was not necessary to color the image since the outline was already in color. Of course this is my preference. Also note that the embossing folder can be changed to any folder that you have on hand. This just gives the card a bit more texture and interest.

Thank you so much for stopping by here and taking a look. I appreciate your time and welcome all of your feedback. Until next time...

HAPPY STAMPING!

  1. Sally, your tip for coloring directly on the stamp is a good one... and your card is very pretty!
